The Dark Knight
Fucking rocked. See it. Best super hero movie ever, maybe; totally kick ass.

Don't stop believing kids.

yes!

I just saw it literally. I've only been home a half hour or less. XD

It was kind of bittersweet - I was so amazed by Heath Ledger but Heath Ledger is no more.

Like I said in my Dark Knight mini-review, I'm actually worried now, since I've been seeing so many really solid-to-absolutely-awesome movies lately that things are eventually going to have to swing back the other way and I'm going to end up seeing the biggest piece P.O.S. of the year in the next couple of days.

Then again, all this started AFTER I saw Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem and 10,000 B.C. so maybe the situation is actually the other way around.

Dude, there's an actor's strike looming. They'll probably push through all kinds of garbage just in case it happens, so prepare for a crap deluge.

I saw this movie and loved it, but it felt like it was overhyped. It's the same way I felt about Wall-E and my original case of overhyping, Alien. I got what I was expecting, wonderful flms, but something felt lacking. Again, probably because they hype. Don't get me wrong, I loved the films, but so far my summer movie rankings are Iron Man, The Dark Night, Hellboy 2 and Wall-E.

All said, I felt there was only one mistake in the entire film. ((Spoilers start)) Why did the convoy moving Harvey Dent go down the ramp after seeing the fire truck blocking their way? I suppose you could say they knew they had to do that so they could catch the Joker, but it cost how many lives during the chase? Why didn't they just go into the opposite traffic lane, which was already cleared off traffic for the convoy? ((Spoiler End))

These are just my thoughts and opinions and I'm not trying to change people's minds or anything. But that just jumped out at me as a "What the hell are you thinking?" moment.

Sorry man. I feel somewhat similar about Wall-E but I still thought it was a very good flick. I'd rank this as #1 easily; then Iron Man, Wall-E, Hellboy II.

Also, Alien? Oh well man, I can't help you. I thought it was eh the first time I saw it but when I saw it in the theater it was an entirely different experience and it rocks. Much more than any of the sequels.

There's stuff that slightly irked me, with this, yeah. But so what? No movie is perfect. It's not perfect...but it's still the best superhero movie I've seen, I think. It was like an excellent crime film and an excellent superhero film, all at once.

Also, who knows, maybe they took that route because *they are people and they make mistakes*?

I felt Wall-E was a great flick too. It was just everything I expected from Pixar, a cute and wonderful story with a message, but I felt it didn't give me anything more. Yes, I'm being crazy and faulting them for delivering an great movie and not a super awesome movie. Wow, I should be a critic. Of course, then I would rank Snakes on a Plane as my number one favorite movie experience in the recent past because I had a great time trhoughout the entire film.

I included Alien because that was the first movie I can remember people being all excited about and where when I saw it I was left wondering why they loved it so much. A decent flick, yeah, but it didn't do it for me like it did for them. Even when I did see it on the big screen. Could be because I saw Aliens first and thought it was a fun action flick.

All true. And again, not saying it wasn't a great flick, it was. I loved the Joker, Dent, Lucious Fox and Gordon. And Batman being a detective too. That's my only nitpick, and you're right, it could just be a mistake, or more likely, they knew the Joker was going to try and trap them so they set a trap for him. But my brain, sadly, keeps going, "But, but, but, open road with air cover. Why aren't you going there?"
